Geoinformatics

Geoinformatics is a modern specialty which resulted from the widespread use of information technologies in the industries related to geology and mining, ecology, agriculture, forestry, land use management as well as other areas where data analyses of the geographical space are used. The following disciplines provide knowledge about the methods for geographical information analysis: GIS Analysis in Geological Exploration, GIS Documentation and Management of Protected Territories, GIS Application in Landscape Studies,  Infrastructure of Spatial Information, Remote Methods in Geology, Geological Maps Layout in GIS, Digital Processing of Images, Geoecological modelling in GIS Environment, Web Programming, Programming in GIS Environment, as well as a number of elective disciplines.

As a graduate you will have practical technical knowledge to work in a number of industries and state intuitions which need such expertise.
