ANNOTATION

The training in the scientific and educational doctoral programme in Automation in Production (by industrial branches) at the UMG “St. Ivan Rilski” is focused on the management systems related to the processes and machines in the mining and processing industry, oil and gas production, environmental production, etc. and it is conducted after the successful completion of a Master’s degree and the passing of the entrance exams.

The training of PhD students in Automation in Production (by industrial branches) is intended to expand and deepen the professional knowledge and scientific competencies after the Master’s educational and qualification degree.

During the training in Automation in Production (by industrial branches) the PhD students acquire sound, fundamental and specialised contemporary knowledge and the following competences in the field of automatics, information and management technologies:
– to manage, design and develop techniques for scientific research;
– to acquire, create and interpret new knowledge by conducting their own research;
– to adapt leading contemporary scientific achievements to the mining and processing industry;
– to create new scientific products using the achievements of the information technologies;
– to conduct expert evaluations.

The PhD graduates are professionals who are able to solve quickly and efficiently scientific issues related to the contemporary manufacturing technologies.

They can find their vocational occupation in universities and scientific organisations as highly qualified lecturers and researchers, as well as leading specialists in companies, enterprises and research centres.
