The aim of the doctoral programme in Water Treatment Technology at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” is to prepare highly qualified specialists whoo design, organise, and carry out activities related to the water quality management in treatment plants, as well as to the management of the protection of surface water and groundwater with different types and nature of the pollutants.
It is designed to offer more profound knowledge in various fields of applied ecology and environmental protection and mainly focuses on issues related to water protection and treatment. This doctoral programme also strives to improve and expand the practical skills of students taking a PhD, thus ensuring the training of highly qualified personnel for work in industry and the research area. The graduates of this doctoral programme can find occupational fulfilment as highly qualified experts and ecologists (environmental experts) in various branches of industry and science, in government institutions both within the European Union member states and internationally. Training in the doctoral programme in Water Treatment Technology is full-time, part-time, or in an open form of study. |
