Department of Economy and Management developed the doctoral program in “Organisation and Management of Mining Production” in line with modern scientific achievements, clearly articulating expected results and offering a wide range of potential topics. University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” prioritizes theoretical preparation, scientific research methodology, experimental research, result analysis, and the development of well-founded conclusions from intricate scientific research. The doctoral program aims to acquire scientific and professional knowledge, research skills, and competencies in various fields of mining production.

The program’s main objectives are to develop expertise through the acquisition of mining production management methods and technologies, with an emphasis on efficiency and sustainability. The program encourages research and development of innovative solutions to improve mining production processes, while also preparing leaders to make strategic decisions and manage complex production systems.

Graduates of the doctoral program will be prepared to work as leaders and managers of mining enterprises, consultants on management of mining projects and processes, research assistants and teachers in academic and research institutions, as well as specialists in governmental and non-governmental organisations engaged in regulation and control of mining production. The doctoral program combines in-depth scientific research and practical orientation, preparing personnel to contribute to sustainable development and innovation in the mining industry.
