The Master’s degree programme in Petroleum Geology is designed to prepare highly qualified specialists in the field of prospecting, exploration and extraction of oil and gas fields in modern market conditions. The Master’s degree graduates in Petroleum Geology can independently conduct and administer activities related to studying the geology, prospecting and exploration of oil and gas fields; provide geological support during oil and gas production; conduct geological assessment of promising areas and proven deposits; conduct complex expert assessments on the impact of oil and gas exploration and production on the environment; etc.
The graduates have the opportunity to continue their education in a Ph.D. degree programme; to become researchers in research institutes and laboratories, university lecturers or to hold different managerial positions in governmental or economic structures.
